This reader has only read as far as her teen basketball star years in the 80s, and it's quite the ride. Natalie is reading this memoir that is just as assertively, bluntly entertaining as the woman herself.
The Hearing Trumpet by Leonora Carrington A surreal and absurd, yet humorous and delightful tale featuring a 92-year-old woman being sent by her family to live in a care home run by a self-improvement cult. Virginia is reading this entertaining novel.
Wait for Me by Santa Montefiore (print book) Santa Montefiore’s based-on-a-true-story novel of enduring love and devastating secrets sweeps across the world from WWII England to 1990s Australia. Rupert Dash is declared missing during the Battle of Arnhem, leaving his wife Florence devastated. She finds a copy of a poem called “Wait For Me” in an old book and takes it as a sign… Julie is reading this eminently readable novel with just a touch of magic and wonder.
