Accessible Service is available to anyone with a permanent or temporary visual or physical disability, such as:
In addition to materials available to everyone, such as large print books, you also have access to books in following formats:
We can select books on your behalf based on your reading preferences. You can also search the following catalogues to request physical items or download reading materials immediately.
If a title you are looking for is not available, we can submit a request to NNELS to have an accessible audiobook made for you, as long as the title has not been produced commercially.
You can pick up your reading materials from the Library or we can mail them to you.
You can read and listen to books in accessible format on DAISY players, tablets, smartphones, and computers. The CELA website and NNELS website provide a good summary of different compatible devices and formats.
If you do not have a device, audiobook players with big, easy-to-see buttons are available for loan at the Library.
Join our audiobook book club and meet new people and talk about books. This book group is primarily for people with print disabilities, but all are welcome!
We meet the first Friday of every month from 11am-12:30pm.
