The Port Moody Public Library provides volunteer opportunities for tweens and teens ages 10 and up. You can get experience, leadership skills, and volunteer hours working with kids.
All volunteers receive a reference letter with hours volunteered at the end of the program.
The teen volunteer application process includes the following four steps:
Book Buddies |
Share stories and books with kids to help them improve their reading skills. For teens 13+. |
Code Buddies |
Help kids learn how to code in Scratch, a block-based programming language. Build games and animations together. You do not have to know how to code to be a volunteer. For teens 14+. |
Homework Help |
Help kids with homework and gain valuable tutoring experience. For teens 14+. |
Teen Advisory Group |
Volunteer to be part of our Teen Advisory Group and have your say! Meet new people and share your ideas for displays, events, and books at the library. For teens in Grades 8-12. |
Tween Advisory Group |
Volunteer to be part of our Tween Advisory Group and have your say! Meet new people and share your ideas for displays, events, and books at the library. For tweens in Grades 4-7. |
