The White Pines Local Author Collection is now accepting submissions! If you are interested in submitting a book, bring a completed application form along with one copy of your book to the Library’s Information Desk during our opening hours. If you have multiple books to submit, one application form is required for each book. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. If you have any questions, please email askthelibrary@portmoody.ca.
The Port Moody Public Library White Pines Local Author collection highlights local authors, poets, and illustrators in our community.
Books are added to the special collection for a year and are promoted on our social media, website, and at an annual gala in the spring.
Authors must currently live in Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Anmore, Belcarra, or Burnaby.
Authors can submit a maximum of three books per year. Books must meet the following five requirements:
Submit a physical copy of the book and a completed application form in-person to the Information Desk at the Library. Download the application form or pick one up from the Library.
If we accept a book into the collection, the author will receive a $25 honorarium. We are only able to add one copy of your book.
Books are added to the collection every three months.
