The White Pines Local Author Program and Collection

The Port Moody Public Library White Pines Local Author collection highlights local authors, poets, and illustrators in our community.

Books are added to the special collection for a year and are promoted on our social media, website, and at an annual gala in the spring.

Eligibility

Authors must currently live in Port Moody, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Anmore, Belcarra, or Burnaby.

Authors can submit a maximum of three books per year. Books must meet the following five requirements:

  • Published within the last six years
  • Written in English
  • Professionally printed
  • Author legally owns the rights to the material
  • Book does not break any Canadian laws

How to apply

Complete the application form online or download and print the application form (PDF) to submit it in-person to the Information Desk at the Library.

  • If you have multiple books to submit, fill out one application form for each book.
  • If we accept a book into the collection, we will purchase one copy of your book through our vendor. Please do not bring a copy of your book to the Library.
  • Books are added to the collection every three months.
