We love having families at the Port Moody Public Library! Our baby and preschool programs are based on the most recent research to encourage early literacy skills.

Babytime

For babies under 18 months and their caregivers. Siblings are also welcome!

Join us for songs, bounces, rhymes, and music. Babytime encourages bonding with your baby and develops their language skills.

The program includes 30 minutes of songs and 15 minutes of playtime. See our calendar for upcoming dates.

See our list of favourite books for babies.

Storytime

An active family storytime for all ages, from babies to preschoolers. Join us for songs, music, puppets, stories, and silliness! See our calendar for upcoming dates.

Storytime helps children:

  • Build vocabulary
  • Hone fine and gross motor skills
  • Develop social skills
  • Learn how to participate in a group setting
  • Form a positive, fun association with books and learning
  • Bond with their caregiver

Note that this program is not suitable for daycares or preschools. Please book a tour with us instead!

See our list of favourite storytime books.
