Summer is one of our favourite times at the Port Moody Public Library. We get to meet so many enthusiastic readers coming in to sign up for our Adult, Kids', and Teen Summer Reading Clubs. Registration started on June 1, and so far, we have registered over 1,600 adults, kids, and teens. Think of all the reading that is going on in Port Moody.
The kids are especially excited to register. Not only do they get an individual gold medal when they complete 50 days of reading, they are also supporting their school in the race for the grand prize. The school with the most kids signed up will receive a big trophy in September! The three schools that are leading the race are Heritage Mountain, Pleasantside, and Mountain Meadows.
