About the library

Book donations:

You can drop book donations off at the Library during our open hours. Due to limited space, we can only accept two small bags or one small box of donations at a time. We may add your donated items to the library's collection, include them in our book sales, or recycle them. We are unable to return any donations.

We accept the following kinds of books:

• Books published in the last five years and in excellent condition
• General interest magazines published in the last year and in excellent condition
• Books in English

Puzzle donations:

You can drop puzzle donations off at the Library during our open hours. We may add your donated items to the library's collection, use them for our in-library puzzle table, or recycle them. We are unable to return any donations.

We accept the following kinds of puzzles:

Minimum number of pieces: 300 pieces

Maximum: 1000 pieces

Donations can be made in person at the Library or by mail.

To make a donation in person:

• Fill out our donation form (PDF) to let us know how you would us to use your donation.
• Bring the completed donation form to the Library's Accounts Desk.
• We accept donations in cash, credit, debit, or cheque (make payable to "Port Moody Public Library"). 

To make a donation by mail:

• Fill out our donation form (PDF) to let us know how you would us to use your donation.
• Mail the completed donation form, along with your cheque (made payable to "Port Moody Public Library") to:
• Donations, Port Moody Public Library, 100 Newport Drive, Port Moody, B.C. V3H 5C3

Monetary donations of $20 or more are tax deductible and will receive a tax receipt. Please allow two to three weeks for us to send you your tax receipt.
