Do you love art? Are you an avid reader? Enter the Port Moody Public Library's Teen Advisory Group Art Contest to turn your favourite book into an amazing piece of art! You will have the opportunity to win prizes and have your artwork featured by the Library.
The theme is "Yourself and Your Favourite Book". You can create a work of art that shows yourself as your favourite book character, yourself with your favourite book character, or yourself in a scene from your favourite book.
We accept entries that are hand-drawn, painted, or digital.
This contest is open to all ages. Winners will be chosen from different age categories:
- Kids ages 12 and under
- Teens ages 13-17
- Adults ages 18 and older
Prizes for the age groups are:
- Kids: $30 gift card for Mastermind Toys
- Teens: $45 gift card for a place of their choosing
- Adults: $45 gift card for a place of their choosing
Rules for the contest:
- Each entry must include your name, age, contact info, and 2-4 sentences explaining your work.
- Digital submissions should be 2550x3300 pixels. Print entries should be 8.5x11 inches.
- All entries must be submitted between January 14, 2025, and February 14, 2025. Submissions can be dropped off at the Port Moody Public Library’s Information Desk or emailed to tagartcontest@gmail.com as an attached jpg, png, or PDF file. Late entries will not be accepted.
Winners will be announced through the Port Moody Public Library website after February 24, 2025. Winners will be contacted directly. If you have any questions, please email askthelibrary@portmoody.ca.
