The Port Moody Public Library building is now open for limited access.
While we look forward to welcoming you back to the Library, things will look considerably different. In consideration of public health and WorkSafeBC guidelines, we are exercising a number of safety measures to protect our patrons and staff.
Not all Library services will be available when we first re-open. Thank you for your patience as we gradually re-introduce services.
The safety and well-being of our staff and patrons is our top priority!
You will be greeted at the Library entrance by a staff member. We will be allowing a limited number of people inside the building at a time. Please be prepared to wait in line if capacity has been reached.
Note: We will restrict the lineup at least 15 minutes prior to closing, or earlier if daily capacity has been reached.
The Library will be open six days a week:
Day of the week | Hours |
---|---|
Monday | 10am - 5pm |
Tuesday | 12:30pm - 7pm |
Wednesday | 10am - 5pm |
Thursday | 10am - 5pm |
Friday | 10am - 5pm |
Saturday | 10am - 5pm |
Sunday | Closed |
Please return materials to our external book drop at the front of the Library building. Our book drop is open from Monday 9am to Saturday 5pm, and is closed from Saturday 5pm to Monday 9am.
We will gradually be expanding our services back towards normal levels, when it is safe to do so. Thanks for your patience.
All items will have a 21-day loan period.
You can return items to the external book drop at the Library front entrance.
Late fees will be re-instated starting September 1, 2020. If you have late fees that were accrued before March 17, payment can be made by cash or debit/credit card (preferred).
All returned items will be held in quarantine for 72 hours before we check them off your account and make them available for borrowing again.
You may return items that belong to other libraries to us. However, please be advised that delivery service between libraries is limited. We do not know how long it will take for these items to be returned to their home library, and to be cleared off your account.
If you are concerned about items being returned on time, we recommend that you return them to their home libraries.
When a hold is ready for you, you have seven days to visit the Library to pick it up.
