Complimentary access to eBooks and learning resources

These publishers and organizations have temporarily provided free access to their resources:

  • Audible Stories - online audiobooks available in different languages to listen for free on Audible.com. No sign-up required.
  • Audiobook Sync - a free summer audiobook program for teens 13+. For 13 weeks, participants get to listen to two teen audiobooks for free. See the list of titles. 
  • Doctor Who radio drama from Big Finish - one free story a week 
  • Coronavirus: A Book for Children (PDF) is free for downloading from Nosy Crow. This book is illustrated by Alex Scheffler. 
  • Gale in Context: Canada - an information database for students on a range of Canadian topics, places, people, and events.
  • Global Road Warrior - a student resource with information about 175 countries.
  • KnowBC - history and information about our province, including Indigenous history, marine life, natural history, and more. Be sure to view the nature guides to help identify the trees and plants on your next walk.
