Writers in our Midst (WiOM) is a popular reading series of fiction, poetry, and performance hosted at the Port Moody Public Library. This family-friendly affair is back in-person for Writers in our Midst #23. Join us on Wednesday, February 8 from 7-8:30PM for a chance to hear and meet local authors!

The writers who will be at the next Writers in our Midst are:

Lyn E. Ayre

Lyn has been writing since she was eight - Children’s books, poetry, songs, prose, short stories, cookbooks, energy healing manuals, meditations, memoir, and romantic suspense. She says she eats words for breakfast. Her newest novel, Murder in River’s Bend, book 2 in the McClintock/Miller Romantic Suspense series, was released on January 31st. Her latest book of poetry, “rhythm & rhyming spirit” will be available on February 14th. Learn more at: lynayre.com

Gerry Bradley

Gerry was born and raised on Prince Edward Island. He went off to Dublin in 1976 looking for the ghost of James Joyce, and found it a year later in the bottom of any empty pint of Guinness in McDaid’s pub, Harry Street. Joyce’s ghost instructed him to go back home and get a job. He then spent thirty-four years working in community mental health in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and is now recently retired.  He lives in Port Moody with his wife, Sasha, and their dog, Roxy. When not cutting the grass or washing the car or trying to write, he plays the fiddle with an Irish band called Port na Gael--see @portnagael on Facebook

Erik D’Souza

Erik is a Port Moody author, publisher, and professional speaker. In 2019, he published New Beginnings, a collection of creative writings from BC authors and donated all of its profits to SHARE Society. His most recent novel, Death in Halfmoon Bay, is a traditional mystery set on the Sunshine Coast of BC. He is the social media and webinar coordinator for Crime Writers of Canada and co-president of the Tri-City Wordsmiths. In addition, he hosts the popular reading series, Writers in our Midst at the Port Moody Public Library.
