Every week, we will highlight a bookshelf from our staff and patrons in our "Weekly Shelfie" post.
This week's Shelfie is from Ilene.

Favourite all time book and a perfect read for these stressful times: The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams
I wouldn't marry my husband until he'd read the book. I wanted to make sure he understood my sense of humour and what he was signing up for.
Favourite Science Fiction: The Chrysalids by John Wyndham
The book is about kids who can communicate telepathically during a time when any abnormality is considered dangerous.
Best book that made me cry: Tess of the d'Urbervilles by Thomas Hardy
I've read most of Thomas Hardy's books, some of them are difficult reads. I had to stop after Jude because I was becoming depressed. So maybe not the best author to binge read during crisis time. But if you need an outlet, Tess will give you that.
Other favourite reads: Lorna Doone, The Scarlet Letter and The Age of Innocence
They all stuck with me long after I read them.
What's on your bookshelves? Email us your Shelfie and we will feature it in one of our future blog posts.
