This week, Ilene talks about furniture painting.
I recently discovered the wonders of chalk paint and have been renewing and repurposing furniture ever since. You can take a tired, scratched up piece of furniture and give it a whole new life. Chalk paint can be bought everywhere from the hardware store to Walmart to Michaels. Or you can make your own by adding chalk to existing latex paint if you want to match a colour you already use. Great inspiration ideas on Pinterest - just search furniture redecoration. And the best thing about paint is that if you don’t like it, just paint over and start again.
Here are two previously loved but now fashionable-challenged furnitures transformed into pieces that fit my attempt at French shabby-chic decor.
