Bibliothèque numérique de la Colombie-Britannique is a new French eBook collection with titles for all ages. The collection includes books originally published in French and books translated into French. Browse our French eBooks now.
How can I borrow and read French eBooks?
There are multiple ways that you can access Bibliothèque numérique:
- Read on your computer through a web browser: Visit the website https://pmpl.cantookstation.com/.
- Download the Aldiko Next app for Android and iOS and read on the go. See below for more detailed instructions.
- Read offline on your computer (this requires downloading the free Thorium app on your computer).
- Download books to your computer and transfer them to your Kobo eReader (this requires downloading the free Adobe Digital Editions software onto your computer).

How do I set up the Aldiko Next app?
The Aldiko Next app is available for both Android and iOS phones and tablets. Follow the steps below to setup your Library account on the app:
- When you first open the app you will be asked to accept the license agreement.
- Next, you will be asked to create a feedbooks account. You do not need this to read Library eBooks. Select skip.
- When asked to sign in with a Library card select: Canada > British Columbia > Port Moody Public Library.
- Enter your Library card barcode and PIN (last four digits of your phone number).
- You can now search the catalogue, borrow and read books all within the app.
